They had a big close call this arvo with some wildlife late in the arvo :blink:Sh#t mate!! Tell em to be careful eh! When we were on the Scrapheap ride I had to call an ambulance for a couple of fallen riders and it took forever to get them out there, and that was only 45k out of Bourke! I was on the phone for 20mins with GPS co-ordinates and they still couldn’t send the F#&%en Ambo and there is only 1 main road from Bourke to Hungerford. Don’t get me wrong the Emergency services do a fantastic job but it would have been quicker for me to ride back to Bourke………
May 4, 2013 at 10:45 am #240826All good,,
They are safe at Lightning Ridge Golf Club,no doubt having a beer. Have been spoilt rotten by the locals :cheer:
Message through about Turnoff out of Hungerford from TB
They now have a good understanding why the locals stay off the roads from dusk on :blink:I will let ACE tell the rest of the story in his own words,, but I can tell you that Strucky was damn relieved !!!!
Until tomorrow,,,
This is Eags ,OVER & OUT :laugh:May 4, 2013 at 11:22 am #241094So what the hell happened Eags? Ace and Strucky will be busier then one armed paper hangers in a wind storm tomorrow. Tell them out of bed early and hook in its a big day also the road from Bourke to HUNGERFORD is fairly rough and sandy in spots. It’s worse then we did it on the scrapheap
(Mick shit the gear then would love to read the hype if he did it now  (no offense meant Mick it’s just that is real rough now)
WATCH THE WILDLIFE!!!! Although we didn’t see a thing before Eulo  been thick as thieves since then at times butTB
May 4, 2013 at 12:46 pm #241099All tucked up in bed with Strucky a safe 200m away so I won’t have to put up with his snoring :S
Had a moment this arvo with a pig at about 5pm! And I got the big girl bogged up to the diff(axle) :pinch:
All good though and wildlife everywhere from Cubbie Station right through to LR.
Great hospitality by our new friends here and a few reds later I am ready for a good nights sleep.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Big day so up early(er) and into it.

Another long session coming up at Birdsville maybe
Or there was talk of heading out into the Simpson for a bit until time to turn back to make the do for Tugboat on Big Red on mondayOne thing for sure,, there will be a massive crowd on the dune for that , Tugboat Bill was quite a charmer in his own right and has touched many people through his adventures with Philth and Co
Many have never met the man, but still the fact that they are travelling so far for this shows just how much respect he gained from them wide & far,,,“RIP TUGBOAT”
