BigAL now that’s one hell of a HIGH bar setup! :)
Awesome. I’m not quite that tall but it’s good to see they are still rideable with those mods.
That’s pretty cheap for a KTM HP tall seat.
So you don’t have any issues with the lowboy pegs then?
Your right, the long legs put the knees too high so you can’t grab the bike as easy.

Good info guys, thanks. CR double hi? What brand?

I’ve stared at the problem for a while now. I think it’s possible.
    Seat + Bars = $200-$300.
Make up a peg mount adaptor to drop the pegs a substantial amount = Much less.

I’ll experiment and see how it goes. I might be able to avoid purchasing stuff I already have (seat and bars) and gain a better result.

Yep between me and Grant we should sort something out. Whatever we make up will be a bolt-on so it should fit other KTMs and be removable back to standard.
He said to me the other day that his old XR had much more seat to peg distance. I think he’s right. The pegs can afford to drop a bit.

I knew I had a thread on this somewhere.
I saw that add for TB’s 530 had a “Seat Concepts” seat. Never heard of them so looked them up. Looks like ADV riding seats? I’m still considering a tall seat. Anyone purchased or modified their own seat recently?

Axel, how’d you go with the planned lowering of the pegs. Did it make a difference.

I think the standard ktm bars are one of the highest bends available anyway. When I bent two sets of bars I spent a bit of time looking into it. From memory there were higher bends but they had more sweep so I was never game to try them. Too much coin to then find out it feels awful.

    Not my 530

Concept isnt just adv seats you redneck western hill billy :P  They do all sorts of seats for everything, they also do high, low and standard heights. I have fitted them to WRs, CRFs to name a few, but they cost money Axel, they are good and comfortable certainly better than that space shuttle heat tile KTM call a seat a very worth while investment.

Speak with Steve at ADV moto regarding Concept seats mate

Surely I can’t be a Redneck yet, I’ve only been here 6 years! (6 years too many)

Hi Roy, peg adapter hasn’t happened yet. Every time we look at it – it all become too much. I haven’t shelved the idea, it needs more beer and analysis.
