Pacific Park in the links section has trials meetings out there all the time contact them and find out when they are and go and have a look, Dave’s the guy to talk to out there.

There was a website mate with some for sale. Trials based site in Oz. Can’t remember it now though and can’t be arsed to search on this super slow connection. They are good fun to have, are they registrable though?

    Would be a bitch otherwise…

Dont know if this is still a valid question? Anyway, I used to own an OSSA 250 trials, went anywhere i was capable of taking it. On a new note though.. it comes to be that a brand “Sporco” is making a bike called the “TRide 250”. it’s rego able, is trials able and Enduro capable too. Hmm even has a seat..I’m contemplating getting one for the wife. 830mm seat height, not heaps of susp. travel though. Engine is a reworked yamaha TT or WR 250 plant, so reliablity should be good. Check the Vids on these, they go anywhere with a trials capable rider on board.

I saw a post about these on DBW ages ago. A neat little do it all bike, would suit a new rider to the sport who can have a go at a few different disciplines….

Yeah, I used to do Trials comp about 15 years ago.
I doubt any rego’able bike will be a true trials comp bike, there’s just no way they’d pass one of the modern comp bikes.
They are very very light and very slow, 60Km/h is all you will ever get out of one, max! Very close ratio 6 speed box. They only carry about 3L of fuel so they wont go far either.

They are purpose built and would be fun if you have somewhere to ride it or plan on doing comp. but their small brakes would overheat easily on trails.

    Horses for courses really.

I was more thinking about playing around on some technical sections in the bush than using it to compete. No ‘compromise’ bike will ever surpass a bike specifically for a given task.

I rode trials in the UK. The trials scene is much bigger there than here. I’d like to go to a local round and see the level of riding seeing as there are so few people that compete.
