Same sort of cost but not as big. Buy a can of Ravioli at a servo is another option?

   Actually after the Scrapheap ride and the accidents that happened on route to Comeroo I might stick with the 640. It is pretty good on the rough high speed stuff. Just ask Mick  :woohoo: After he rode the most intense 100km ever on the NX   Funny stuff that. I looked around to make sure he was still behind me and all was ok, only to see this faint glow, which i thought was his head light 😆 but it was actually his eye balls reflecting the afternoon sun   Funny stuff!!

Ok routes sorted this week. I have forwarded the route to both of the people that look after my spot emergency details. Have rang all places we need to know we can get fuel, accommodation at the only two places we are staying is booked. We will do 2476kms in 5 days to get to Birdsville, Poppels corner, Big Red and back to Camerons to meet Strucky and Ace. Once we hook up with them we have two options.

( A ) Camerons to Lyndhurst to Bilnmen to Yunta to Broken Hill to Silverton to Menindee to Ivanhoe to Trangie 1952kms

( B ) Camerons to Lyndhurst to Bilnmen to Yunta to the Danggali to Renmark to Hattah to Trangie 2191kms

I vote for B maybe :woohoo:

Laugh all you like laughing boy! I don’t think I have ever been that scared on a motorbike in my life! That was probably the most unenjoyable 100kms I have ever endured on a bike. I was expecting all manner of wildlife to appear out of your dust and take me out. And you are right, I bet my eyes were popping out of my head, similar to the Toe Cutter’s in Mad Max… :woohoo:

    An update eh…

Needless to say i am counting down the days, hours and minutes. :woohoo: :woohoo: This will be the longest ride i have been on so i am checking over everything a few times and pretty keen to get going!

It will be camping for the most part but some emergency accommodation is booked as a back up.

Hoping to meet up with TB and Strucky over the next couple of weeks to get the route and go over some final prep.

    Bike prep includes:

New front and reat tyre – Metzler Karoo 2 (T)
    New H/Duty tube(rear)
    Replaced front wheel bearings
Replaced rear wheel bearings and cush drive seal
Tightened everthing and loctited a few things
Sprockets, chain and steering head bearings okay

    My prep includes:

Reducing my intake of McDonalds to 2 meals per week
Reducing my alcohol intake to 4 standard drinks per night :(
Jumping on the trampoline with my daughter for 30 secs every other day

I should be able to travel pretty light…with the addition of tubes, a bit of food, tent and sleeping bag, it should be similar to the 2 day nav rides.
