Complete with bogan riding gear including t-shirt, jeans and sneakers, this bloke is riding a Turbo’ed WR250R. They claim a 75% increase in power. Sadly the guy riding the bike is a complete goose, popping puny little wheelies instead of showing off the real capabilities of the bike.

The turbo itself appears to stick out pretty well, I wouldn’t like to see what happened in a small lay-down. Still it is an interesting concept.

    Check it out:

Have you put your order in ECKS???:woohoo:

I want to see you on that in the single track. With dirt wheels of course.

Would be fun on a motard track.

Why would you turbo the 250R? (why would turbo any dirtbike really). If you want outright power, and by virtue of the fact they are sticking a turbo on a dirtbike I’m assuming this is the goal, why wouldn’t you start with the 250F which makes more power to begin with?

Maybe it was a compression issue…..

    My thoughts exactly!

Wouldn’t it be easier to just get the 450?

75% increase in power from a turbo, thats a big claim. There is a heap of turbo dirt bike vids getting around you tube, DRZ’s, XR’s, you name it somone’s turbo’d it.

Would be a fun project but not real practical for dirt work. Seen one vid of a turbo XR650, thing was swapping all over the place just trying to go straight on a fire trail,

Mate, if you want to appreciate the power of your bike, ride a small-bore for a day, then get back on yours… you’ll be shocked! Change is as good as a holiday!

Dont think I’ll rush out to get one for my bike. If it’s suppose to add an extra 75% power I would want to see a bit more than those pissy little wheelies that old mate was pulling. You know a huge smoke show when you twist the wrist, or flames out the exhaust.

Also the 250R’s (well at least mine) seem to break radiator shroud mounts when you drop them so I dont really want or need anything that hangs out even further on mine.

If you are chasing huge amounts of power go for something bigger than a 2fiddy.

Will give it credit for the bling factor:)

I’m with Moto, why in the hell would you add the complication heat and extra plumbing of a turbo on a dirtbike?, just buy a more powerful one, I can understand forced induction on a harley (make it go a little more like it sounds) but want more power, 75% more on a 250 4t GEE now it has the power of a 250 2t that’s lighter and far more simpler, want a powerful 4t?? buy a 450, a 530 hell even a big husky 610 or whatever they are this month.
now you’re chasing your suspension around with the extra power and maybe your brakes and your gearbox and the chassis needs beefing and the whole dirty aircleaner issue becomes a nightmare….

    Why
    Why
    Why
