On a date TBA in September I am putting a route together for a two day 1000km + navigation ride starting and finishing at St Alburns pub (near Wisemans Ferry) Navigation meaning full GPS ride. The route  if you want it will be loaded on your GPS at the pub Friday night only (no GPSs will be loaded Saturday morning I will be long gone) route I believe will be suitable for all bikes if ridden to the conditions.

You will need a 350km minimum fuel range (remember a fuel bladder or the likes can be used to extend your range) and must have your own GPS that can have a map loaded on it. No fuel range, no GPS, no ride. There is no support vehicle, no cornermen, no sweeps. It would be best if people rode in at least pairs so they would know if their buddy is missing or down.

The route will headT to an overnight stay that will be announced a month before so you can sort accommodation / camping whatever you desire. I reckon camping gear is a must should you for whatever reason not make the overnight stay or continue past it on day one.

This is not a race or a show of how big you think your dick is, I would hate to see a repeat of the Adventure Moto APC prerun with people getting flown out in helicopters for whatever reason. Also if you decide for whatever reason to leave the track please let someone know what you are doing.

Numbers won’t be limited it isn’t an organised ride in anyway shape or form I am offering you a map and recommendations as to distances between fuel etc.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask

I`m in at this stage mate. Keeping September free and banking those brownie pts
Maybe Bones & Ace will pair up with me if they are free, I know they both showed interest when we talked about it a while back ;)

I have changed jobs (internally with same company today) so hopefully can swing the friday off ;)
    Cheers

You just need to put your foot down at home Eags and not let them schedule you for something else when it is on ;)

The only problem I might have is that they are trying to edge me into running one of the night shift crews on site. If that happens I will only be able to go if it is on one of my weekends off. I f I manage to keep away from running a crew then I can just take an extra weekend off if I have to.

TB, I would like to join this on the new DR. Will need to discuss the fuel part as I have no idea what the pig will do on a std tank. I do have a bladder though.

Umm Gaz I don’t think a standard tanked DR650 and a 10 litre bladder would be enough mate  you not fitting a bigger tank? Remember is 350 plus

You will need a GPS and hard wiring to make it reliable and a way to carry your camping gear ;) Plenty of time to get your stuff together anyway, I posted it early to give peeps time to get organised because off the type of ride it is.

Fuel range for the DR with a 12ltr standard tank is less than 200km i think .

Will check dates when they are posted TB to see if i can get the AL. Keen as though

I’m keen as for this ride. I’ve just bought myself a GPS unit for Jeremiah and can’t wait to test it out.

I just hope it’s not on a weekend with kids stuff on. I’ve got my fingers crossed.
