If he doesnt make it guys, and I dont have a ride buddy, room is fully paid for already be my guest my treat.
Dont want to ruin anyones ride weekend dragging me along 😆 On that note if anyones going for a day ride I would like to tag along, just too see if nothing else how far behind, my riding ability is.
You haven`t seen me paddle the 690 around yet mate
You`ll be fine I reckon, as stated in post 1 it is not a race, just a bunch of blokes following the tracks left by TB & PTW (half of which will be skidmarks left by PTW anyway)Plenty of time to do the distance and see some great places along the way :woohoo:
January 2, 2013 at 10:33 am #234883Thanks for the vote of confidence Eagle.
Just dont want to be holding people up on a ride
Bad enough on a day ride let alone a whole weekend
Cheers James
January 2, 2013 at 12:06 pm #234519Sounds like you ride at my pace james . would love to be on this ride [work sucks] but thinking about
the pre run if it’s on a Mon/Tue/Wed/Thur depends on start time and location. :dry:bones
January 2, 2013 at 8:55 pm #234885To be honest Bones I dont really know what pace I ride at.
I had also been keen for the pre ride but after talking with TB he has suggested it may not be wise for me to go as he is planning to be travelling fast.Doesnt want me to try and keep up and overstep my ability an the inevitable happen.
We might have to clone poor old TB as demand is outstripping supply.

Best reconsider joining the pre ride as i haven’t had much bike time in the last six months
and trying to keep up is a recipe for disaster.bones

January 5, 2013 at 12:47 pm #234932Went to the Woodstock Pub today for lunch and met the publican, damn nice bloke. The place is super bike friendly and he will if there are 20 to 25 of us put on a band!! :woohoo: So lets get 20 plus peeps should be a cracker night.
He asked me to go upstairs and take a look at the rooms, I said seen one pub seen them all champ he really wanted me to so I did, and what a surprise :woohoo:
All the beds new! All the bed linen new! The bathroom new!Beer garden, swag area, tent area and bike parking up against the small retaining wall
If you are going please let the pub know even if you are camping, he is really trying to accommodate us and the route is a cracker I promise its better than the last one

Usually a step back in time most country pubs I have stayed at,kind of like a lesson in early Australiana
Like the look of the beer garden, it would be even better with a few tunes on the night
