Our “3 Amigo`s Team” has been sorted for the ride
Should be good for a few laughs along the way ,,Don`t forget to check the first page of the thread guys for updates on the weekend, fuel range between stops and the Breakfast plans etc
Good luck for the remaining Pre running TB & Strucky
July 31, 2013 at 11:18 am #247351Well it’s time for some housekeeping on the thread and a few updates, and seeing how Eagle hasn’t posted here in the last 10mins I will try and post before he inevitably does again and again
For the first timers or those not sure on the whole navigation thing Flying Fish as offered to help out.
Named “Flying Fish’s Navigation Newbies” FF has chosen to leave the lead duties to Stucky and I and she will help out in the pack. FF will help with GPS setup, mapping and general GPS hints and tricks. She will make sure you don’t take a wrong turn and end up in Broome WA
Just post up if you would like to ride with FF and get any assistance during the ride, you can do both days or even just one if you want.
We will have three Motul Packs to give away and another Yamaha care package like Lefty received last ride.
Don’t forget the breakfast offer on the bottom of the first post page one, get that organised quick smart and make sure you get your accommodation booked both nights
Any questions post up or PM if you want
Keep reading the first post please

July 31, 2013 at 12:01 pm #244866TB,
I would like to go with “Flying Fish’s Navigation Newbies” please, at least for Saturday and see how it goes.
ThanksJuly 31, 2013 at 12:31 pm #244867JTB has backed off a bit,,, so I am allowed to get a tad excited again I reckon
July 31, 2013 at 10:17 pm #244868I’ve been out riding and doing ride reports… all good excuses. And I knew you’d be looking after things for me Eags :woohoo:
But now it’s getting to “poo self” time  as I have just looked at the calendar and my days off to get tyres and sort a few issues are diminishing faster than a fat kids paddle pop in a heat wave!
Where have all those “weeks” gone that I had to do all this stuff I now have to do?
Still 16 days to go… but with work days in there it’s not many days off!
July 31, 2013 at 11:22 pm #244869TB,
Sorry to do this to you (and me) but I need to pull out. Too many commitments back this end I cannot back out of.
Looking forward to the trip reports.

Hi All,
Flying Fish’s Navigational Newbies
Thanks for the intro TB – That’s right I will be happy to help out anyone who may not be all that confident in the dark art of GPS navigation.
If you happen to see me following a GPS map  , I can show you how to effectively use your GPS so you feel confident to do it on your own by the end of the weekend. Also for anybody who is new to these style adventure rides we can give you some tips and tricks so you don’t feel so daunted by the whole experience.
I plan to ride at a fairly relaxed pace, but to get around the course before dark I know I will have to keep moving. As much as I love a Latte` stop or two I know that the maps TB shares with us need a dedicated approach. That is not to say that I won’t be stopping for the occasional photos opp or Snickers Break  .
Just to be clear, I am not acting as an official lead rider for this group (it is not an organised ride) and I am not responsible for your riding and actions, but for anybody that decides to follow me and ask questions on GPS navigation feel free.
Cheers,
Flying Fish.August 1, 2013 at 8:14 am #244870Good work FF
