All in vain though, as they didn’t have the size I wanted, apparently some one called Wayne with an XR650 with a wobbly front wheel bought the last one.
Actually it wasn’t all in vain, she called TB a “Track Mole” which I found amusing. Mrs Fathead is a good sport.

I’m glad I didn’t bet any money then! Get an S12 instead Mick, it won’t let you down if you want grip! I don’t think the Bridgestone ED12’s are bad either if you want some durability.

ED12’s are not good after the first 500km, the compound is too hard. Best to steer well clear of them – and my personal (un)favourite Kenda Carlsbads. There are so many better tyres out there!

I’ve had 2 on my bike and they were fine, even when very worn:huh:

Stuffed if I know. I was riding mostly Catombal – very rocky, very hard, bugger all dirt between rocks. Might be the difference? I pulled mine off at about 50% as I was so sick of the piss poor traction.

I was in the Wattie’s, mainly dry I seem to remember but fair rocky sections. Maybe I’m not good enough to realise when I have grip or not :)
