Finally a Unifilter for 990 and 950Well picked up my bike from Unifilter yesterday and have done about 100k’s and the bike runs fine, will do some more k’s as soon as the weather breaks and see if it effects fuel etc. Have some pics to share.
These are the neoprene washers on the TB
There are two filters yellow is the inner and orange is outer.
The inner fitted
The outer fitted
There is a rubber seal that goes in here to make it watertight
There are filters for the hoses too
prot
I now have three foam filters, this maybe overkill but the bike runs fine as before and is well protected.
These will be in production in the next week or two and the kit will retail for about $95.00 AUS
I would like to add I have no connection with Unifilter they simply used my bike to make the prototype filter.March 3, 2013 at 8:21 am #227458

No worries TB. This is still the prototype and the guys at Unifilter are nutting out a few things this week before they go into production, they are thinking of trying springs inside the cage like on there pre filter.
When they have there final product I will update sometime this week. That said this one seems to seal really well and has not altered performance, will be interested to see how it effects fuel consumption too.March 3, 2013 at 10:24 am #237563Good one Boulder, I’ll have to get one when they have it sorted. :cheer:
The prefilter seems to work pretty well anyway and you probably wouldn’t have to clean the main filter very often.

March 6, 2013 at 1:52 am #237558I now have the finished product from Unifilter fitted to my bike, they have made some changes to the filters from the prototype.
Here you can see the inner filter with the spring and throttle body trumpet fitted.
once you have both trumpets fitted in the filter just tighten the reusable cable ties so the filter fits snug but not to tight.
Now fit the front trumpet onto the throttle body and lock in place and then the rear.
Then fit the orange outer and lock in place with the velcro tabs
Everthing else is the same as first post. They are in production now and will be on sale next week.
