    Out of interest’
Has or does anyone on here carry a UHF and had to or thought about using their GPS to locate UHF Repeater Towers to get a cal out in an emergency situation ???

Noticed that the Garmin 60csx has ability to pinpoint repeater locations and even navigate to them.
As most of the places we folk travel to & like to stroll around will have no mobile coverage (very limited or patchy at best) I thought it might be useful should the need arise.

Spot Trackers should have most situations covered in an emergency, but can fail from time to time and bad weather or thick tree coverage can also have an affect

In anycase, I have a half decent handheld that I will be carting from now on in my jacket pocket , never know when it may come in handy :)
