TB makes a good point above; if it ain’t broke dont fix it.
One small incident does not really constitute a system failure.

First aid, EPIRB (I know Manly Warringah MCC has one available for it,s members), flares, UHF CB, survival food, the list goes on….

What if any of the above items do you carry on rides???

Personally I carry a first aid kit, white glow stick incase I am caught in the dark, mobile phone and sometimes a 5 Watt UHF.

Back on topic, Eagle I still want a GREEN vest – the orange ones make me look gay!

Perhaps a standard briefing document is usefull, but it should include the cornerman system in detail as an option.

But no two rides are the same Wikd, read my last post mate. If you think it would help write one and Mick will proof it and Admin will post it mate.

We posted at close to the same time TB, I dont think such a document will really make a difference.
It is hard earned experience that will make the difference.

Nothing beats good planning and common sense.

BTW I’m after epirbs for work (due to lack of common sense!!) might start a thread later on what people are using.

Good luck, some of the new 406MHz units are still out of stock, 6-8 week delivery time.
I would only go for a unit with built in GPS and accuracy below 1KM. Some are only acurate to 5 KM.

Also be careful not to confuse a PLB with an EPIRB.
