What do you guys use to edit your videos with? I have purchased a GoPro and will soon need to start editing my captured footage.

Some decent Freeware would be great but I’m not adverse to buying some software if it’s recommended and reasonably priced.

I don’t want to make DVD’s for the Enduro market, just some decent vids for Youtube/Old Bulls.

This may be bad timing but did you know they just released the Gopro HD? It is $100 more though so perhaps not what you were after.

BTW editing is very time consuming. Windows movie maker is supposedly ok and free I believe.

Also, I’m going to grab one of these chest strap mounts moto, let me know if you want one and they’re about $35 delivered I believe.

If you have XP pro or Vista windows movie maker should be on there. If you want to just do basic stuff and short (10 – 20 min) videos this program is fine and easy to use.

If you want to go a bit flasher I have started using Ulead. I have version 8 but I think it is up to 10 or 11 now. It has a lot more features but is tricker to use, for me anyway.

    Yeah, go trent!

I reckon it’s quite cool, you get to see what the rider is doing and how he is working as opposed to terrain just flashing by.

I did know there was a new one out but don’t really need a super dooper flashy one, just wanted something to record some of my rides and trails :)

By the way I have Movie Maker and was going to use that as a default if nobody had any better suggestions. I’ll have a look at Ulead, it might give me something to do in the evenings now I don’t drink

Its not just the time to learn how to do it its the processing time. You have to watch it, note down bits you like, cut them edit them, pick music etc. and when you’ve got 2+hours of footage that takes hours and hours.
