Finally got around to fitting the viper on the back of the husky, and couldn’t be any better timed with the weather turning bad for a day at sunny corner.

I’m no tire change expert but this was the easiest tire to swap, felt very flexible in the walls,so had me wondering if it was any good?

Grip wise was excellent and did a climb up some loose mud and rocks no probs, fine on the single trail couldn’t realy fault it.

Looking at the tread design im pretty sure they are the same as the Black rock tires with the same impression in the knobs.

Hardly any wear after 100k so if it lasts about five rides all will be good.

Thanks 2banger I will watch your thoughts with interest, a few questions if I could?

Where does one purchase such tyre?

    How much is said tyre?

What pressure did you run during the recent wet Sunny Corner ride?

    Cheers TB

YE GODS! Your chain is on the wrong side of your bike! You’ll never get good track-shun. It’ll keep pulling to the right! What’s that, oh it’s supposed to be like that is it. Sorry. Keep us informed on your new rubbers, I mean tires. ;)

They look very similar to the diggers TB had on for the Poker Run.

    TB,
I bought it off a mate for $65 he had 2 and reackoned there good.

I don’t know if thats the retail he must know someone in tires.

Teckniks had them on the racks a few years ago,i saw them when i went in there to get some h/d viper tubes and they where around that price from memory.

And i usually run 16psi but dropped to 15 and it was good, hit plenty of rocks hard so no pinch flats at that pressure. And i’m using bridgestone heavy duty tubes now days.

Using the ballards pencil guage, hopefully accurate!

    Eurotred are the distibutors.

Any shop that has Bridgestone should be able to get hold of them
