I managed to put some decent kms and the Husky today. Firetrails, twin trails, single trails and a mud hole with less than appropriate tyres for mud. Rode some familiar tacks and found some I’ve never risen before. Late start meant I did get out there till around lunch time seeing me ride till dusk.

Not a bad way to spend a quiet Sunday.

That was on a single track out the back of Baal Bone Colliery. Very nice open flowing track with some bermed corners. The big 610 handled quite well on the singles until I got to the bog hole. I couldn’t see how far the bog hole went and I wasn’t keen on dragging a 150kg bike with road trail tyres through a swamp. I’ll take the RMX back out there one day with some decent tyres and see where it goes.

Because I left so late and knew I’d be coming home in the dark I trailered up. The Husky light sux and it gets very cold up there when the sun goes down. I don’t plan in putting the Husky on the trailer too often, kinda defeats the point.
