Bad luck Razzle, hope you heal real soon.
Stay positive and you will be back roostin before you know it.
It’s hard to cop now but all you can do is work on it as much as you can once your into recovery mode after surgery
You’ll get there mateApril 30, 2013 at 10:38 pm #240698Thanks everyone for the words of support and offers of assistance …. and Toes for the offer of keeping my bike company
Don’t feel bad Mick, the day was awesome and I had a great time. It was my stupidity that ended in the injury, and my pig-headedness and “I’m fine, just keep riding” ignorance that didn’t make me speak up and say “take me home, I’m in sh*tloads of pain” :S I can tell you I felt every rock, every bump, and felt physically sick everytime I saw another damned log to cross during that last 30 k’s though   :silly:
All will be fine, staying positive and looking forward to being a bit ‘wiser’ as a result. Keeping my fingers crossed it all happens quickly and I mend for a guided tour of Maria SF from Ollie AND in time for the Birthday Bash in Seaview :woohoo: :woohoo:

Always makes me jeleous when you see footy players on tv, they bust something and get there operations ASAP.Good luck with the op and recovery.
May 6, 2013 at 2:09 am #240767Been to the Orthopaedic specialist …. I don’t need surgery!
Just “more time” and “try not to use it at all, keep it completely immobile”
He said it is a really bad break, in a bad position, but it should heal fine. Including the separated AC and tendon damage. He said that my ribs still look if they have a couple of weeks to be properly healed as well, even though they don’t hurt at all any more. Gotta go back at the end of June for another x-ray and consult.
Hopefully looking good for Mt Seaview :woohoo: :woohoo:
Phew! Still 8 more weeks or so, but at least I don’t need to be chopped open :S

It’s awesome news in my books!
I did NOT want to be chopped open for an operation! A mis-spent youth full of all sorts of risky pursuits and I managed to never break a bone, let alone surgery!, I REALLY did not want to ruin that record (well, the surgery bit anyway … scares the sh*t out of me) :side: :S
Yep, beer, and riding, on the horizon, happy days, happy face.

You are one tough guy! Great news you don’t have to have surgery. I’ve heard so many horror stories of guys having off’s after having pins and plates I’d avoid it at all costs if you can.
