April 26, 2009 at 7:22 am #130736I didn’t hear him say anything about it till we got back to the cars.Tough as nails those Gas Gas riders I tells ya
Nice to meet you yesterday TB.April 26, 2009 at 7:43 am #130756I remember Ollie saying something about catching his foot on a log or stump or something at one stage, he said at the time he thought he may have broken something.
I hope the boys had a better arvo than I did, snapped the fan belt in the car on the way down the mountain. I managed to limp back to Avondale servo with no steering (some of those hairpin turns were a struggle)and a bit (make that a lot)of overheating. Problem being that nothing was open on Anzac day. Road into Morriset but no joy there, got back to the car and it had cooled down so drove to Freemans waterhole and left the car there and rode home. Rode back today with new belt only to find the water pump has seized, had to get it towed home.
The morning ride was good though, although a bit shorter than I would have liked. Only one semi-dificult hill which I managed to make more difficult by baulking at the only real obstical, other than that there was some cool singles and some flowing open tracks. I will upload a couple of photo’s tomorrow if I get a chance at work (I don’t have my photobucket password here at home)tomorow.
It might be a good idea to try and organise some track maintenance, all that riding with my head on the handle bars ducking under branches gets in the way of some great riding. If we all spent 1/2 an hour on our favourite tracks when we went out it could make for more enjoyable riding.

The foot was swollen to all buggery last night could hardly walk on it:angry: Feels a lot better today so I dont think ive broken anything.
When we were belting down Caters fire trail with Gili hot on my tail I went over this washaway which had a buildup of thick silt,I nearly went over the bars,Gili had to take evasive action and just missed me,anyway it rattled me a bit and I drifted to the outside of the track and crunched my foot between the peg and a log:S This was just before the washed bridge.Yeh so I will be right for the next ride, bring it on.
sorry to hear about your drama’s jeffro, like they say if its got Boobs or wheels its gonna give you trouble:laugh: (sorry girls)
OllieApril 26, 2009 at 8:46 am #130737Take it easy on the foot Ollie, Mine is still noy 100% from the Hill End ride (layed over with KLX slamming on top of it) :S Ouch
Soft tissue damage is the worst & takes the longest to heal,,,,
