Thanks for the map Moto
I don’t go that far for holidays;)
Who’s idea is it to ride up Hitchcocks in the wet:ohmy:  Or dry for that matter:unsure:
Took Smurf’s expansion chamber off and had to weld a big patch over a fair size hole, should be ready for the weekend though:)

AnonymousI feel your pain on the travelling mate, I’m coming down from Nelson Bay, 240Km round trip!
I’ve never ridden up Hitchcocks but it can’t be that bad. It will be a bit of work but a challenge none the less. If the conditions are bad and people are struggling we’ll skip it and go another way
Tim been riding into rocks has he?

Besides it’s only got one hard bit on it, the rest is relatively simple. We’re riding sh*t that’s hard all the way up
May 27, 2009 at 5:06 am #136774yeh mate the route that you will be taking will sure give ya’s a good workout, make sure you go down Panadol not up it:blink: its a good track that seldom gets used, you will like it.
Tunks trail probably needs going thru with a chainsaw first:laugh:

I went through Tunks from the scout hall end a couple of Saturdays ago. No probs except for a large branch hiding in some leaves above a log that needed jumping over. It knocked me senseless……….watch that one.

).
Good point Moto, count me out.
Going up Tunks, Whitemans or Hitchcocks should only be attempted in the dry. I have done all 3 (in the dry) you may need catchers for Whitemans (to catch the bike as you save yourself).
I hope the comp. goes well.May 27, 2009 at 12:14 pm #136771Well it had to come to an end, I have ridden every weekend or week for the last 12 or something, NX, XR, DR and BMW  But this weekend I need to do the kids sport thing and help out which will be good, and put Lochie’s bike back together and return my BMW
So I am having to pull out which is a pity because I was bringing a different bike which I use another time Moto sorry mate look forward to the pic’s and stories

I hope the comp. goes well.We are not going up Tunks or Whitemans, only Hitchcocks (which ironically is the only one I haven’t ridden up). We’ll see what the conditions are like on the day. If everyone can handle grade 4/5 we should be alright. I know and have ridden with all the guys coming too.
TB:- Sorry you can’t make it dude. Saves me having to ride the fiddy up the tricky stuff for you though

Gyday Leddy, keep a check of the posts and show up and all should be good. This is Moto’s organised ride, and will be a good challenge that is why the grading is set at 4+.
