Met Joe and Gav (they have ridden with OBT before but aren’t signed up yet) at the turnoff at Morisset. Got kitted up at Tobins road and left there about 8.45.

Rode the single trail at the Bee Hives and over to Muirs Lookout then single trail to Watagan Forrest Road and headed south.

We were on a mission to find the Back Door Trail that Gav had ridden three years ago. It is called Back Door trail because it comes out the back way to the old scout hall on Tunks Fire Trail.

I call it the back door trail because it is full of sh@t. Gav hadn’t ridden it for three years and by the look of it no one else had either.

The start is steep downhill that we needed to bulldog the bikes down and when we got to the valley floor there were logs down which we got around with some effort.

We got onto Tunks Fire Trail and headed towards the steep rocky end but got stopped by a fallen tree we couldn’t get around so went back to the Scout Hall.

Main trailed Lemon Tree to the bottom of Muirs again and went down the single trails of Cut Rock Rd. Sauls Rd and back to Tobins Rd to load up at about one pm.

No photos because my wife bought a new camera case an it is pink so I left it at home. Next time.

    lotsa

We did that recently, crash dropped his bike on a log and crushed his radiator, its hard work that track! If we are talking of the same track, I think we are :)

It didn’t look well used but it will be easier to get through now. I’ll take you there next time we ride the Wads and take a bush saw too.

Keep an eye on the Ride Gatherings Moto. I never know what I’m doing on the weekend till the last minute but I’ll give as much notice as I can. Next ride might be from Letter A which might be a bit of a trip for those up north.
