Anyone keen for having a look at the new trails that were used for the state enduro round run out of the Basin in the Watagans last weekend

Can start from either Letter A near Kulnura (which I prefer)or The Pines water tank

Ready to ride at 8.30am Sunday 29 March

Should do about 100km and take five or six hours depending on numbers

Lots of single trail and a bit of exploring the new trails that were cut in for this event

    lotsa

So it would be a grade 4 ride?
I better not, dont want any bad things before my trip to Kowen Forest.

Good luck with getting riders, a lot are going to Wauchope this weekend, but post up a ride report, we are interested for sure.

Might be able to tie the ride on the 5th with a longer one to Lower Colo and back to St Auburns (sp) if anyone wants to look at that.

What brand tyre is that TB?
I need to know so I can avoid having one on my bike.

The tyre works great where it is supposed to be used, its a soft compound Michelin, used at Wauchope on a full days ride had no wear. Used on dry hard pack rock based high speed ride with the throttle wound on and kept on it was always going to die, here’s a quote from the story it came from

What the fiddy does to a Michelin S12 140 in 340 kilometers, it was the wrong tyre but between time and the shoulder dramas I couldnt swap it, so it copped a hiding

The grip the wear the traction it the Wagatans or Wauchope is fantastic, but for the ride all wrong S*#t happens

    Oh OK
Tyres have gone up in $ to around $145 fitted you know.
I just had a Stone King fitted to Beemer, meant to be great for wear and roosting.

Yeah I used to run stone kings on my 600’s when I lived in Wyee and rode in the Wato’s 3 times a week (ah the good old days) they wear well I will give you that. I bought two of those Michelin S12 140-80/18’s on Friday from a source and only paid $108 each but will keep my eye out cheers

What sort of riding is it lotsa?

If you make it to the ride on the 5th do you fancy leading?

A very open ride with a bit of tar, the twisties between buckety and St Auburn, wide gravel road, twin tack, dirt road.

No probs leading, just need to look at my clutch master on Saturday and organise from there.

I’ll try for a ride report from the state tracks from last Sunday later, awsome.
