After a quick coffee at Gerry’s Kitchen down the road, I met up with Justo a bit after 8am. It was a beautiful clear day with just the right chill in the air for single trail.
The start of a beut day

The hills are alive with the sound of 4 strokes

We were geared up and off about 8.30 and into nice loamy soil with plenty of grip to lift the front even when not intending to.
This area was recently used for the NSW State Enduro so some new single trail has been cut in.
Where does this go

We went down King Tree Ridge, which is a dead end, but a good open blast and on the way back saw the start of a trail that ended after 200m. A bit of bush bashing up a log strewn hill got us back to the main trail.

There were a couple of hills that I didn’t want to tackle that are better done going down. Save them for another day.

Remembering I brought along some energy gel satchels that I spotted on the counter of Ballards last week, I gave one to Justo and had one myself. I never tried them before so I was interested to see the effects.
Instant energy

It was needed for this

Around 2.00 we were back at the cars.
Reflecting on the ride, we had plenty of breathers, no injuries, great trails, a few hills, bush bashing and an all round good grade three ride.
Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers
