Who wants to play up the Watties on Sunday?

I am going with Big T for a bit of a squirt in the dirt.

Not sure of what loops etc may look at doing pretty much the same as Moto’s ride (5/04/09) with some extra bits. **If I can remember and not get lost**

I would like to do the single trail with the mesh that’s down near Muirs Lookout, as well as “Prick Hill” and Hitchcocks.

Ride grade will probably be a 4 or so.

Meet at Old Onley Camping Ground at 8.00am ready to ride by 8.30am.

If I wasn’t at the 4 day mate I’d be there I hope you have a good ride, the stuff with the mesh is great fun, haven’t been down there in ages, normally need a pretty good group to tackle it.

I’m not sure. I’ll have some good ideas now of the places we need to ride. It’s just getting them all linked together. I might have to do a scout ride specifically to test a loop out with Matt. I’ll shout you up when we do and you can give your opinion

My son and I had planned to do that ride again on sunday, maybe with two other bikes. We were thinking of doing the exact same ride as the 5-4-09 with a trip down Tunks and around to Muirs on the way back to the cars??? Not sure if Tims two banger will have enough fuel though.:unsure: Will carry extra just in case.

Sounds good Murph. Mate I’m happy to tag along with you blokes if that’s OK with you. I seem to have a nack of getting myself lost so if one of you blokes are happy to lead that will be great.

Are you happy with the meeting time and location? I can be up there earlier or later if it suits. It will be good to ride together again.

If your young bloke gets low on fuel we can always go back to the cars mid ride and re-fuel to save carrying extra fuel.

I have no idea where the Onley camping ground is??:unsure: Time sounds good though. I too haven’t a clue about Tunks to Muirs but it looks interesting on the topagraphic maps. Between us I’m sure we can sort something out.:cheer:

Old Onley is the camping ground that is sometimes mistaken as being The Pines. It’s the one that is between The Pines and Turpentine. Heaps of riders usually park there. It’s the one right on the main road when you come up from Martinsville on the right hand side its just had a new set of toilets put in and has a water tank and a concrete pad.

We will work something out where we end up, it will be a good ride regardless.

Hey Dan count me in and Gili is busting a nut for a ride as well. I know the Watto’s pretty good although not real sure of Tunks to the Pines. I know prick Hill and Panadol and all of the single trail on the southside. should be a good ride.
