AnonymousFrom Cooranbong you turn at the fire station onto Martinville Road, then take Martinville Hill Rd and finally onto Watagan Forest Drive. As Ollie mentioned the camp area is just past the Wollombi Forest Road intersection on your right hand side. There is a little road on your right with a camping area on your left as you turn in. Just down that road is Turpentine. I’ll try and get there a little early.
Where are you coming from Jeffro? Maybe we can have a meet at the fire station in Cooranbong?

AnonymousPut me down as a maybe at this stage. Waiting for a Pirelli MT43 at the moment, they are as scarce as hens teeth and the old Michelin X11 is looking a bit dodgy but should be ok for one more ride.
This is my second ride with you blokes so some of you have an idea of my ability but this is what I usually say on other forums.
I am an old fart (65) and am not real quick. I can handle grade 3 with some 4 ok. If you think I will slow down the ride or the ride will be to much for me then say so, I don’t mind. In fact I would rather you did that than turn up and be a moving chicane that has to be helped up every hill!
Having said that I will have a go before asking for help but usually need help some time on the ride. I will leave it up to you fellas.

AnonymousAl, nice to hear from you again. If I ride anything like you ate 65 I’d very happy. I haven’t fully worked out thr route yet but it won’t be anything a man of your skills couldn’t handle

I reckon your being a bit hard on yourself Al – I enjoyed your company on the last ride and from what I seen you can pedal your bike pretty good.
And anyway your only as old as you feel, age is only a number.
It will be good to have you along.
March 30, 2009 at 4:37 am #127320I will be coming past the fire station, what time do you expect to be there. I’ll PM my number in case there are any drama’s
