Another top day on the bike :woohoo:

A bit of dust today (but not for me ;) ) the rain didn’t quite make it to the hills :(

I picked mostly flowing tracks, it’s hard to avoid everything though

Found a recently marked loop which was reasonably worn in B)

One up hill was loose and dusty, no problem for me and my new tyre but rumor has it a few got tangled up

Making our way to the Pines we came across a Bruce Hancock training day crew, we ended up in the middle

We had a chat with one of the corner men and he suggested a detour or we’d have a long wait :pinch:

At the Pines we were in the middle of the tour again and several riders tried to join us for lunch

Yes we are that good :P

After lunch we singled it to Whitemans we we said goodbye to Jeffro, he thought he had overheating issues

Turns out he was running low on fuel and needing reserve  :pinch:

We caught him back at the cars.

Flat tyre from our sweep Gordo, loose radiator hose from our sweep and a split radiator hose from a stick for me at the end :( A bit of track side repairing from the crew had us back to the cars for a dust off and a beer.

Top day, top crew, some new tracks, an off for me but all good, can it get any better :woohoo:

No video from me, everyone was keeping up

    Adam.

Thanks Adam for organising and leading, G-mac for sweeping and everyone for a good ride. As Adam said, everyone was keeping an even pace so there weren’t too many delays or chances for pics or videos. I was starting to struggle towards the end though after not having done much riding in the past 12 months or more since my shoulder operation in September last year. Add to that the bike kept stalling and being difficult to start and I had run out of water I decided to head for the cars and leave the last singles for another time.

I headed off down the fire trails and only got maybe 2km down the road before I had to switch to reserve (which may have been why the bike kept stalling). I made it out on yo the tar but ran out of fuel about 5km from the cars. Luckily for me there was a Good Samaritan that saw me pushing the bike and came out from his house to offer assistance. He was kind enough to give me some fuel and a bottle of water and I was able to get back to the car ok.

Only 1 picture from the day where G-mac was playing on a hill and managed to pull off one of the most difficult parking stunts possible.

    Hi Boys,
A thanks to Adam for another sterling ride. It was as posted a 89km grade 3 ride .
The ride was geared around a few of the boys have little or no time on the dirt bikes for up to eighteen months.
All the boys were keen and turned up early, even me.
The rain didn’t do it job as the trail were generally dusty were the sun could get to them.

the group still rode pretty tight so other than Adam up the front, we all eat dust. :pinch: :pinch:
The corner man system worked a charm bar one minor error.

The ride saw alot of rest stops with a few for repairs, two for me a radiator hose which i had adjusted to reduce a kink ( bent radiator) the hose clamp needed to move and was not tight enough as well as a flat rear. The tubliss system made the stop short.
There were few dramas so not much to do at the rear of the pack except keep eating dust.

When we stopped by the a serials of rock steps i decided to get rid of some pent up energy by tracking up and down different lines. Well most of it was good but I did manage to drop it heading down hence the photo of the bike upside down. i was thrown a bit further . all good.

Lunch at the pines was welcomed with the boys split between seat at tables, laying down to snoozing.
Jeffro’s bike seems to be giving grief alot. I could hear muffled curses there now and again.

Heading back to the car Adams radiator hose (unlucky) saw a mark shift repair required to allow all the radiator hoses on the water pump side be adjusted to remove the damaged section. there were millimetres in it but enough to get the job done.

The return to the car park saw a few beverage consumed and a quick escape by some due to commands by she who must be obeyed.

All up another good day in bush.

    Cheers Gordon

    Good onya’s
Sounds like another fun day out, except maybe for the dust
I am back home and keen to ride
I might just go for a local run this weekend to make sure all is good with the bike and get me back in the saddle after being out for 4 months.
Good possibility of rain this weekend :)

Another fine ride it seems. I’m due for a weekend over these parts again soon. Murph maybe line up another weekend ride for us poor western dust biters if you get a chance. There isn’t much going on in the way of rides this neck of the woods.

    I’ll get onto it, Axel
Riding Saturday, just to make sure all is good with the bike and me for that matter.
    Stayed tuned
    Cheers
