Well boys and girls, if you weren’t there you missed an awesome day of riding. Start with a thanks to the organisers, TB and Mick, the helpers, Eagle with only one good leg, Kram with only one good hand and Corey8 also with only one good leg. Thanks also to Mucoff for supplying the prizes and RiderX as well.

My weekend started early Friday morning with a run to Sydney to look at a bike so mit was up at 5.00am to meet the guy by 8.00 in western Sydney. Bike purchased and back home to get my gear together then on the road to Micktown. Arrived around 3.00 to find Eagle hanging out with the host at Brecken Ridge farmstay. Unloaded the gear then headed to Mud ‘n’ Tar for some new gloves (thanks for the Old Bulls discount ;) ).

Over to Mick’s infamous shed only to find TB and Mick working on Micks BRP with RiderX, Gassit, Moose, Krusty and Owl2 all watching on. They were trying to adjust the forks in the triple clamps but couldn’t get them to move. They were useing screwdrivers, levers and hammers to no effect when I asked what held the fork gaiters in place. Oh, the clamps are still tight 😆 :P . Sometimes you just need to stand back and have a look :silly: .

Headed back to the farmstay to find the guys were back from Puddles (forever more to be caled compass) mystery tour of Lake Cathie. A few beers, a few tales and a fire later and the bus takes us to the RSL for tea with the other Old Bulls. A good feed and a good night was had by all then back to the farm for a few more drinks and a bit more fire. Someone pulled out there sign in slip from the club and threw it on the fire and so everyone thought it was a good idea and through theirs in,,,,,,,,,,, except for Aaron, he through in a $10 note and dragged it out as soon as he realised, a bit smaller than before. He reckoned it was still about $8.50 worth  .

Next morning it was bacon, eggs, tomato and onion with toast then out to the meeting point, 8.15 and we head to the start point where there was a little confusion which lead to too many cars in too small of a parking area so some of us turned around and headed back to the planned parking spot and unloaded the bikes to get ready for the ride.
Once everyone was ready there was a briefing followed by a siting lap (and thats where it went pear shaped for me but more of that later.

The tracks were slipper mud in some places, slippery loose rocks in other place, and generally just awesome tracks to ride.

A few Pics from the day.

It certainly was a good day out!! TB and I are a bit too busy to do a report tonight, as a post ride shed party has just broken up at my place  It was a pleasure to finally meet Mr Blue who made an appearance at the shed this arvo. WE have up loaded a ton of video, so watch this thread over the next few days or so.

    Yeah,
Looking back on the weekend, some of the memorale moments for me were,,,,,

Driving up straight from being up since 12.30 Thursday & working Dogwatch that night then not being able to sleep once I arrived (even when all the boys pissed off for the Puddles Ride)

The 2 hr conversation & getting the Low Down on “Mick the Mayor” with Shirl at the Farmstay fri arvo  This in itself will probably get some attention from you locals

Finally making it to Wauchope (even in non ride status)

Getting to see a glimpse of one of those infamous Shed Party`s at Micks :woohoo:

Meeting Rod at Mud`n`Tar (nice bloke) ;)

Awsome feed at the local RSL (never seen so much Roast Beef for $11)yummy :silly:

Hitting the sack as soon as the Bus dropped us back at the Farm (christ I was rooted) but being wide awake again at 3am ready for more shenanigans

Terrific Cooked Brekky with Baz & Shirl on sat morning, LEGENDS!!!

Meeting some more of the ever growing OBT Crew, and of course catching up with some of the long termers. ALWAYS A BLAST when we get together ;) ;) ;)

I WILL BE BACK , Gauranteed!!!!

Another top OBT ride, pity I was a member of the gimp crew coz the riding conditions looked just about perfect.

Great to catchup with everyone and share an ale or two and a few laughs.

Hope you found your tool bag TB

Eagle was the star of the lunch crew. Without him there would have been some very hungry OBTs.

Bring on the vids and pics…..I need to see more of the riding I missed :(

A great ride in great conditions, mixture of greasy slippery valley floor, single lines, rocky up hill climbs, twisty tree sections and red clay descents. It was my first old bull ride and what a great way to be introduced. Thank you to the management; I can only assume how much time and effort goes into getting this type of event organised and then the stress on the day.

To the Old Bull Riders thanks for the consideration as you passed, I am definitely no racer. Special thanks to the guy on the KTM who walked down the hill and gave me a push.

To the Kitchen Staff – thank for the great sausage sanger. It really hit the spot.

Whilst I didn’t meet many of you on the day, to busy riding, I will be back for more and hopefully get a chance to put more names to faces.

I have just gotten back from the bush again this morning. I ran both loops backwards looking for Ollie’s Camera. Sadly I didn’t find it, needle in a haystack really. What has surprised me is how well the trails stood up to the amount of traffic they saw yesterday!!

On another note, something that really pleased me, was there was not one bit of rubbish left behind by any of the crew. I whole heartedly thank each and every one of those who attended for their consideration in that regard.

Also I dropped by at the Breckenridge farmstay to see Barry and Shirley (to smooth things over if required) and they were delighted with the OBT crew that stayed there. Thanks guys, for responsibly representing OBT.(Barry said you old bastards were all in bed by 8.30pm anyhow  )

Anyway thanks to all that attended the ride and made it the success that it was!!

    Cheers
    Mick

I will do a report later.AS I am taking the kids riding today.

 I forgot to mention how funny it was to see Bollocks actually ride the OBT WR back into town after the frist lap & get a new gear shifter fitted at Mud`n`Tar :)
He then promptly rode back to the crew & put in his next lap with a smile in his dial

he let us all know just how cold he was though on the trip in with his wet gear & all :P :P sook
