I don’t mind having a crack at Ironman. If nothing else it will teach me a lesson in how fit I need to be to do one properly and hence something to aim towards on the fitness front.

I will step the fitness thing up this week to include doing some weights a few times a week. Not it will help for this PE, but future ones……

Rat – You should race, the more the merrier!

I was going to ask what the deal is with fuel Mick. I could get Tyne to do it? I don’t need a lightening quick stop as I’m not trying to win. That will probably change on the day though

THe boys would be happy to do it if Tyne isn’t keen. You probably will only need to do a splash and dash near the end anyhow.

I feel a sheep station changing hands here.

Moto at the last one here the boys were stopping, having a sitdown, a sanger and a coldie then heading back out again, spend almost as long under the marquee as one lap took, which in my dotage is a good style of “racing”, it’s all about being there.

You don’t need a pitcrew, You need happy supporters, go as a team and use the same “support crew” for the whole old bulls riders?, lure a couple of the other blokes kids with promises of Ipods and Wiis

Yeah, I’m easy about it. Tyne will be keen, it’s just letting her know when I’ll come in. I may even do it myself around the half way mark just to get a quick break.

The plan isn’t to go flat stick and see how long I last, it’s to go smooth and steady and finish the race. I’ll up the ante a little if I have energy left toward the end :)

Yeah there are spots you can watch the action. You can even wander over to the change over area and watch the goings on there too.

Some of it is in the bush (you can walk in and watch there too) and some is in open country.

How long are the laps expected to be Mick? Tell me what Hollis’s fastest lap is and I’ll try and average that for 3 hours
