Hey Bulls
I thought it would be interesting to compare five mount points of view for wearable cameras.

August 26, 2011 at 1:40 pm #207673Its chest or helmet top for me King. The helmet is a little better in my opinion cause it goes where you look which is handy especially when stopped and something happens and you look, your head moves as does the camera.
That smoker of Mal’s sounds sweet on the Victorian single trails he is riding
The trillion goggles shoot to low

August 26, 2011 at 1:47 pm #207674I found the fender mount a little hard to handle in the tighter stuff, I think I was getting motion sickness as the camera swung back and forth.
:sick:Not in the above video, one of the other ones
August 26, 2011 at 2:20 pm #207675Note :the last vid of Mal5.1 and the pro rider , Mal5.1 was sitting a fair bit from an injury so it may not give the most accurate reflection on its mounting position.
I just watch the awesome pro rider up front disappear into the distance.

Great thread King STM

He told me he was sitting back because the slow rider in front was holding him up and he needed to give it small bursts as he was afraid it would foul a plug at the low speed he was forced to ride at

When it comes to mounting i wear a chest mount and like it more than the others but find that the only problem is standing and sitting changes the angle.
When it comes to watching, if they are mounted right then they are all good in that they give different perspectives.
It would be cool to put all of them on the one bike and rider then edit them in together.PTW
August 26, 2011 at 4:50 pm #207680I like the chest mount when standing but I think the goggle mount is the best view and when Nick get the angle sorted it will be even better.
Galey, that was me at my best mate. I’ve got nothing on a pro rider like yourself.
Never fouled a plug on my 2 strokes either TB.
August 26, 2011 at 4:54 pm #207688I’ll take more footage tomorrow on what looks like a very muddy single track ride !! Now I’m conscious of the angle I’ll see if I can improve it by aiming higher
Although the foam wedges that will change the angle are on their way !
