Great day out
Had a few showers through the night but I think we accidently short changed GOD as the ground was still dry and unfortunately the bush was wet.
We lost Funky within the first Kilometre (I think one of his radiator hoses had split) Better to happen there than further out in the bush.
The rest of us travelled along at a fair pace. Did most of our singles and eventually made our way out through K9 singles and headed through Kilingsworth where I got a little bit lost.
Found our way back to familiar ground and did some singles on the way up to QLD Gate. The amount of losse dirt on the rocks at the step had us all opting for the chicken track.
A few more detours and then down the very steep West side track. :woohoo: 👿
Of course when we got to the creek there was only one way to go, UP
A few had troubles at the steep part of the track out but we all got there in the end.
Lunch at the Gap servo, which was a bit dissapointing as they had no staff to cook hamburgers.
Jeffro left us there and the rest did the lantana track back to Becks and a bee line back home, taking in the powerline hill of course.
Hope to have some pics later
Thanks to everyone for a fun day
Big thanks to Dude for sweeping his ride all day. :woohoo:
Cheers

A couple of new scratches from my “Pivot Turn” 👿   ……. they’ll buff out
January 3, 2014 at 8:38 am #252928Thanks Dude for organizing and Sweeping
and Murph for leading :cheer: and Jeffro, Mr Squiggle and Stuart for a top day in the bush :woohoo:
Hope you get things sorted Funky, it’s no good leaving a ride early unless by choice, book yourself in for this ride next time it comes up
I had a ball, only lost it on two sandy corners  and a quarry :S  :pinch: with a couple of step offs thrown in  , although the single out of the quarry was a good alternative
Rode some tracks I hadn’t ridden before and some I had, rode part of K9 with Morgo and Looselink 3 1/2 years ago
There were some big ruts on this ride with no alternative but to ride them in places
I think I now have a loop for Snowy
Some vids to come.
Adam.

January 3, 2014 at 9:17 am #252944Thanks to Murph, Dude, Adam, Stuart and Mr Squiggle for the ride today. After 4 months off the bike it was a struggle at times and I had to pull the pin after lunch and slab it back home. Most of the video I took is useless thanks to the dick smith salesman that told me their brand SD card was the same speed as the scandisk extreme. I had ridden up to QLD gate a few times before when out ony own and turned around, it was good to finally see what was at the top.
Thanks again all for a top day, absolutely nackered when I got home. No tlc for the bike, just the rider.

No shame in exiting one of murphs and dudes rides at any time, especially after the time off the bike that you have had Jeffro, top effort fronting up i reckon

January 3, 2014 at 1:08 pm #252953So thanks to dude for organizing and sweeping. He is a ninja sweep, saw him help a rider up a tricky section without even getting off the bike, too cool for school
Thanks to murph for leading and the others for making it a great day. Special thanks to Adam for a coldy from his secret stash at the end of the ride. mmmmmmm
Some Squiggle Crash Cam and Queensland Gate track
