What a day at Paddy’s

Sorry I couldn’t make it sounds like fun was had by all, woke up at 8.45 so decided I would load up and meet for the afternoon session but a few mates arrived and the rest is history that I am still trying to remember.
Some of those hills look familiar from the week before so I know how buggered you must have been pushing more bikes up them.

Well i guess its my turn to post a report at Patty’s…………. What a fantastic day or should i say half a day, great location, great group of guys to ride with, just a great day out
and also great BBQ John…. BUT WHERE WAS THE SALAD ??? I had a ball Thanks for the invite. cant wait for the next one Steve

Looks like were gunna have to enjoy Paddy’s while we can. The DSE are proposing closing the S/T down and restricting riding to gazetted roads and fire trails.

Not good news about closing tracks!

The tracks were sign posted last year with proposed closures but the signs and barrier tape were either torn down or removed by DSE, i’m not sure which. There is no defanite time frame but I would say sooner rather than later. Read more on the web site http://www.dse.vic.gov.au/forests

This has been on the cards for a while, I think there has been discussions with Geelong 4 x 4 club about the amount of damage that is deing done. Unfortunatly from what Ive seen it more 4×4 damage to tracks than bike damage so it looks like we all suffer. Go to you tube and type in paddy’s swamp or Geelong 4×4 and you will see how deep some of these cars get bogged and some of the real damage.

seems like a waste of money spending all that money on the trail bike drop of area when there will be restricted riding in the area. It will probably drive riders back down towards the Anglesea beach area where you will get more complaints from residents about noise as the suburban spraul is slowly spreading there and riding will sooner or later be restricted there as well.
