Geez, I`ve been slack the past few rides and washed it a day or two later rather than the same afternoon :whistle:
Noticed on Sunday just how bad the rear tyre is ,, some sand stuff sorted me out :laugh:

Sleeved the toe piece with Stainless and knurled the OD
Better than new and it cost nothing (actually I was paid to make it) :blush: :whistle:

Murph:laugh: :laugh: Thats the best way heh Murph :laugh: If the boss asks oh whats that for ? oh its just a scrinsen for the watchamacallit hootroar out the back :whistle: (also helps when either you are the boss or the boss wants one for his thingamajig :laugh:

May 26, 2013 at 9:57 am #227489I decided not to get the warp rim [to replace my busted rim] and hang out for a little while longer and I managed to get a pair of original excel front and back complete rims with heavy duty tubes and maxxis tyres with only 100km on them for $500 to suit my 2012 exc, now iv got a spare front and im getn my busted rim fixed for a spare rear , now the 450 can be mobile again MAYBE, if I can prize myself from the little 310 husky IM LOVN IT :woohoo: :woohoo:

Today I fitted 2 fuel filters to the Frontera EFI. Took the rear brakes, off the Matador MK4 SD, down for reline ( this is my current project), Frontera has progressed to testing.
Picked up some NOS brakes for the bultaco’s from the local bike shop, (he had them in stock since the eighties got’em at the eighties price 😆 I think he feels sorry for me.
Lastly the new swing arm roller bearing kit arrived for the XL500s, I was out riding the other day and it kept changing lanes when I decelerated. 1 Bush had completely collapsed, nothing lasts anymore, :silly: only lasted 32 years???Swing arm tomorrow.
