ha ill never run out of fuel again, trying to keep up with snowy and boony around the bush… 15.5ltr its not too bulky as I thought it was going to be..
now I know “too much weight!!!” well I look at it this way I weigh 67kg soaked to the bone add two ltr water bag’ tools ect I should be about on par with everyone else ( no offence every one else)……………
maybe the extra weight will give me a bit more traction up those hills this will save damus picking my sorry ass up of the ground!!!! well that’s my theory!!!!
I do know I will never be pushing the wr back to the cars again well nearly back to the cars!!!!!!
eagle its one of those stands from that super cheap auto store… cheap and nasty but does the job!!!
cheers
June 12, 2013 at 8:16 pm #243616Payed rego for two bikes,that sux.
got me stuffed how rego can fall only 2 weeks apart for two different bikes.
Heard an idea a while back that you should be able to rego 1 number plate,
and swap it to bike your riding. Is not like you can ride two at the same time.June 13, 2013 at 5:30 am #243618toes wrote:Payed rego for two bikes, that sux.

I did the same with mine just before coming away. I used to hit reserve between 70 & 75km which is enough most times but I reckon I got back to the farm on fumes at the Bago Breakfast ride. I also took it up to Nundle at Easter and wasn’t game to explore too far for fear of getting a bit lost and running out of fuel.
I can’t say I noticed the extra weight with the bigger tank either.

Cool jeffro. I haven’t filled it yet I only got it on this morning but I am looking forward to it ill have to wait a bit till I get a front brake line to test .. that’s y there is rag on the master cylinder to stop any leaks from dripping

Looked at it, threw the new tyres next to it in the Mancave (they can wait till sat shedtime)
Grabbed a chain breaker when picking up the tyres,,, no need for the angle grinder now :laugh:June 13, 2013 at 11:09 am #227515G’day all;
Well the Frontera could have used a new pipe but the cost was something akin to buying a new bike, so I compromised and just replaced the header, the best quote to do this, was $300.
So I just dove right in and cut it off.
2 mandrel bends ($45) and 2 hours later and viola, a new pipe, better than original with smoother bends.
and the fitting for the O2 sensor.
A coat of paint on the weekend and I’ll upload some pic’s; job done!
Cheers till next time.June 13, 2013 at 11:15 am #243658put some decent tyres on the Husky & fitted a bash plate. waiting for the rest of the bits & pieces to turn up
June 13, 2013 at 11:19 am #243660lost my bloody camel back bugger
June 14, 2013 at 6:58 am #227516Frontera has repaired pipe fitted, welding not as pretty as the pro’s but she’ll do.

New rubber front & rear, new chain (gold this time) chain tool worked a treat
Also discovered that Black Paint Marker pen touches up scratches and chips on black anodised rime too.The blokes at the bike shop asked if I was bringing the rims back in fir them to change the tyres over?
Called me mad if I thought changing tyres at home with a few levers was fun,,, Not much fun at all really but it`s good practice for doing it out on the trails though
Takes me 15 mins each way to drive to the shop, $$$ to change them and half an hour of their time. I did both tyres and wheels back on the bike and the chain in an hour and a half for free while having a Bundy !!!Washup time tomorow morning and maybe get the green off the new rubber
