Easy job to do the sprockets & chain mate, just a few hints to help you along.

With chain still on, Use a piece of pipe (I use trolley jack handle) thru the rear wheel to lock under the swingarm.
This enables you to undo the front sprocket nut/bolt (different bikes have different sprocket setups).
Always use new bolts and nuts when fitting the new rear sprocket, don`t overtighten sprocket bolts because they will stretch

Fit new front sprocket but nut/bolts hand tight only.

Fit new chain being careful to set the correct length to suit your bike , use chain breaker to remove links (I have used a grinder to grind rivet heads in the past) A breaker is a better investment $50 for a toolbag size one.
Be sure to install the master link with the open end of the clip facing the rear of the bike when it passes over the front sprocket.

Retension the front sprocket nut/bolt by using the pipe method again, but this time locking on the top of swingarm.

Use a small screwdriver in between the chain & sprocket, turn wheel in reverse and tension axle nut, then remove screwdriver,,,

    ALL DONE :)

Sorry I have no pics to explain these, might be able to take some examples later today if you need James ;)

Over the last few weekends have fulled the tank off the KLR and cleaned the carby because going out the the Far Cain rally it felt more gutless then normal, raised the needle a little bit, fitted a fuel filter and when fitting the side cover I put some packing in the jap to reduce to air been sucked into the air filter from the rear wheel. Went for a short burst last week and it feels a bit better but still a KLR :(

Last night had the Triumph 800 deno bike and went for a 60k spin :woohoo:
Now to ride the Yamaha 660 and I think KLR will be on the outter

Just got home and fitted suspension that Tekniks lowered and re valved for me
Looks good so far I can touch the ground at least

Just have a little head shake on the hwy and grip has gone on the corners in the scrub so I’ve got a couple of days tweaking the clickers, if this fails I’ll give them a call for some advice

    Verry happy with their service
