No mate but broke a buckle on my right side knee brace, one buckle and a strap on my right hand side pannier, right rear blinker and left me with shit stained undies :laugh: Got to say between the speed I was traveling, loose gravel surface a drainage ditch and the roo it was exciting :laugh:

Made a load more work for us :S
Had a short ride around the local roads tonight(about 20 mins) just to put some time on the motor and it does seem to be very smooth and fairly punchy :dry: although I did’nt really give it much ,
A flash around Kenilworth on sunday should tell us
August 21, 2012 at 11:13 am #227412New brake pads on the RMX and bought some new tyres but too lazy to fit them. Think I might take it out tomorrow and give the old tyres one last run.

Replaced blown fuse for powerlet (I shorted it :blush: )Dejay’s DR (he is a factory rider gets his bike prepared for him :laugh: )
New rear Dunlop 606
Repaired gearstick end spring and pivot, straightened the stick (it had seen some love)
Tightened up loose tank bolts again Dejay :laugh:Bring on tomorrow :woohoo: :woohoo:

Yeah your right Dr Axle, one more lap is never a good idea :pinch: I learnt that the hard way :unsure:

Been looking at the chain and sprockets and not sure exactly when to replace them…..
Bike has 1700km on it, so how far does everyone else get out of a set of chain and sprockets?Still running the rear tyre Murph 😆 hope to get another ride out of that(Murph sold my a tyre before he left,4 rides on….9.5mm tread left)

August 22, 2012 at 1:06 am #228244No that’s a real bad idea Bob. That’s what happened at that BD ride 2011 to me. I had to get towed back to camp by a HONDA!!
The old well known sign of wear was lifting the chain off the rear sprocket. If it lifts more than halfway off the teeth it’s shagged. Looking at the front sprocky, thin teeth, curved teeth, very wide gap between teeth – all bad. Many riders replace 1 front for every rear and chain as they wear (visibly) quicker than the rear.August 22, 2012 at 2:25 am #228234Dude wrote:New brake pads last week.

The chain can be run for a while even if it’s not in great condition,but it’s not the best thing to do :unsure:

Last time I fitted a new chain I noticed that I only had half of the circlip left holding the joiner together, hte other half had wornaway
