Oh yeah thats with Mousses very impressive
Whats the 4 day plan just a rear end of day 2?
TB
Yeah it went smooth today. Will try again next week after a 12 hour night and 50km hard riding. Bit of a difference when you’re tired and geared up.
Not sure on the plan yet but a rear would be go on day 2. Will have front and reaer ready to go.

If it pops on decel it’s a smidge lean and may need go down a clip on the needle. For the Staintune exhaust on my DR650 I went bigger on the pilot jet which has solved the problem. Wouldn’t the main jet be closed on decel if the throttle is closed? dunno .
I get jets from Show and Go Motorcycles in South Australia. They know what jets are, always have them and do fast postage and are priced right.
Today the DR went back into Adv mode. It was put back to standard to be sold and replaced which didn’t happen.
It’s amazing how how much stuff is added to a standard adv bike.
Made up spare wheels for the KTM with UHD tubes and trying a Duro rear tyre
August 25, 2012 at 8:42 pm #227419Washed both air filters and reoiled one to put back in bike, fuelled ready for a rocky thrashing in Wallaroo. Bike survived the ride minus one piece of plastic (due to cuddling a tree a bit too tightly). Good ride but sore arms despite softening the suspension.
August 26, 2012 at 11:16 am #227420Recently found a crack in the L/H crankcase cover on my WR450. Found a second hand one in WA, changed the starter clutch while in the same area as it was not engaging sometimes, put it all back together yesterday, changed the oil and filter and went riding with my son and Needlemeyer locally at Menai today. No leaks, bike went like a charm. Happy days!
During the parts replacement, I also changed the woodruff key that locates the flywheel on the crankshaft. Looking at OEM bike part sites in the States (powerplus and bikebandit), the key is U$2.81. I had to pay A$15 from Yamaha dealer in Sydney. I purchased the starter clutch from powerplus (but forgot to put the key in the order!) for U$91 + U$35 freight. The same part here was A$205.
We’re getting ripped off big time!
Cheers BudgeAugust 27, 2012 at 9:39 am #228462washed my bike today pulled the filter skin of the filter and reused the filter oiled the chain and thought about how to get a couple more strokes out of it being a 300 so it could get up hills .priced a couple of extra strokes around the 13000 mark so think i will get by with two for now
August 27, 2012 at 10:00 am #227421Repalced a fuel filter in the 2010 CRF250R, re-shimmed the intake valves and took it for a test drive. Fitted an idle screw extension to the King Quad and mounted a UHF Radio to it as well.
August 27, 2012 at 10:22 am #228463I fitted up ASV folding levers, grips, bar plugs and got rid of that massive switch block and wired up a kill switch.

Your skill switch looks like a giant dildo strapped to the bars, don’t they have small ones up your way?

September 2, 2012 at 12:17 am #228753Took it for a ride yesterday and it didn’t feel right, I then noticed that it was sitting down in the arse end and it had lost about 40mm of travel and I could easily throw my leg over it (I couldn’t before).
Closer inspection, proved that the ring nuts at the top of the spring had come undone and wound them selves up the shock. So I am now waiting for someone to help me, set the ride sag again.
Any wonder it felt weird.
