I have also managed a couple of major fleets maintance programs and been self employed for a couple of years. Now I train apprentices, mechanics on how to fix cummins engine etc which has massive pressure and long hrs its a really tough jobLOL
Im sory I must be in the wrong place. I sit next to the trainer at Cummins and he is a really lazy bastage who does as a little as possible. I know this because I try to keep up with him but he works too hard.

Scotty – I don’t ride the treadly anymore and all the fitness is gone
I did the 6 hour race at Ourimbah and came 3rd (as a team) with my mate Matt 2 years ago.

hey Scotty
I did the race out there a few years ago in a 3 man but we used the same bike (05 Teocali elite) just to prove how relaible they were. We had velcro on our number plates and would rock up to transition without a bike and the looks we got as we swapped plates and took off were gold. We called our team ‘Podium Proof’ as we had done bugger all training but we went well until a night time battery issue a long way from camp.
Enjoy your race and make sure you block those roadies who burn you off up the fire road only to slow you down in the single track:angry:

AnonymousThe roadies invading the sport is part of the reason I stopped racing. I would towel them in the single track/downhill and hard stuff and the minute it came to the faster, more open or uphill sections they would be gone. considering the majoirty of the circuit is better suited to a roadie with some off road skills it was all too hard.
I raced a couple of downhill events (on a 5″ travel XC bike) and did pretty well then moved to Oz and got fat. I then got fit again and did a couple of races only to have my arse completely handed to me by the Brad Kelly’s of the world. Brad rides at least 30-40Km of road a day to maintain fitness!
I’ll stick to bikes where fitness doesn’t play quite such a large part

May 30, 2009 at 1:03 am #137268My old day job had me riding 40km a day to work and back on both road and dirt as I was living in the mountains then, that keeped me fit.
My new day job has me doing less exercise and eating way to much McDonalds.
There’s light at the end of the tunnel. I just about to put in a request to do the bike course which will have me riding bikes as my day job. Geting fit while geting payed,
