That is where I would start looking for the points,TB.
Behind the magneto would be a pain in the ares spot to have them.July 3, 2009 at 1:46 am #142131Hey mick where is that page you posted up a while ago, give you the exploded view and part numbers $$$$ and availability ?

July 3, 2009 at 2:10 am #142216on tappet cover area, left hand side at end of camshaft behind a little cover with 2/3 screws on it sits the points on many of the older thumpers. Idea is the camshaft spins at the right speed to allow points to open and close directly, and because regular adjustment/cleaning was necessary easy access as well.

July 3, 2009 at 9:30 am #142217Australiandirtbikeriders,(frequented by about 3 people these days, good lads but. an offshoot of sme people who decided DBW was not really their scene?)
Trailmates (might not have even posted up there, who knows?)
TT (serious ‘mericans, good for info)
DBW (left after being banned and threatened with legal action then un-banned, ‘dirtbelters world’. tediously longwinded threads about nought really. although the babe thread was pretty good!)
Sandfleas (someone made some plans and shifted some funds. forum vanished. an offshoot of lads that didn’t like being told not to wite swear words on the wlls of TT!!!)
ADBforum (boys that like to colour in pitchers of bikes and talk ad nauseum about how big their powerbands are! Banned something like eight times…fun but)
cycleforums (dunno)
trailmates (dunno)
dirtrider (dunno)
adventureriders (too scared to talk sh1t to them blokes. I’ve seen threads where they talk about carrying handguns on rides!!!)
There are a couple more not worth mentioning and they are just the bike related ones. For a bit of light entertainment there’s nothing like a catlover’s forum or something relating to faeries at the bottom of the garden!
Oh if one get’s the chance they should vist Moderndrunkards.
