I am after a roll of 3 core wire to extend inductive proximity switchs and Hall effect sensors

The wires consist of pretty fine strands

What is it called and where would i find some

    Cheers

    Bob,

It would depend on the distance your extending the cables.

They are low current devices thats why they have thin conductors (cable)

The standard orange 1mm2 cable you get from electrical wholesalers is cheap, robust and will do the job as long as your not going hundreds of metres. ;)

I’ve extended sensors 20 – 50 metres on conveyor systems with that size cable.

If you have any more specific details I may be more helpful

I’m actually replacing a cable that has a fault somewhere i had to cut the cable 50 mm from the sensor to get it to work
I’ve only got to go about 10 mtrs , i was trying to find a roll of the 3 core (Black,Blue and Brown ) so that it is color coded

I had no idea what mm2 it would be or was
