It’s all good guys I’m happy with the information I’ve gotten so far so a bit of banter is fun.

I got home in the daylight this arvo so I put another load of oil in it then ran it down the road for a few minutes and wound it out. The bike felt good still and sounded even with the air filter off. I dropped the oil again and the bottom screen and filter and the filter looked fine and the oil has white particles in it but its a looooot better! I took some pics of the oil dumps for you guys ;)

This is the very first load that was in it. Looks worse IRL believe it or not. The bottom is cruddy and looks like dodgy mould and water. 03062009.jpg

No pic of the 3rd lot because its in an opaque bottle so here’s the 4th lot which is the 3rd fresh flush since the 1st is the original oil.

Looking much better but there’s still fine white particles floating around. After I dumped this one I put the next load in and took it for a run and have since dumped that oil and its in the shed draining now.

I’ll get a pic of the shed too that should get some good laughter and gibberish :D 03062009_003_.jpg

Good stuff, oil that’s starting to look like the colour of oil and a singing bike- it’s all good, and no need to look back!.
PS check the throttle cables are free when remounting the tank – (what’s that old saying – do as I say, not as I do……!)

Yeah the silly bugger fell into a lake so deep all that 383 could see of him was his helmet peak and a bar end then he panicked and leapt out forgetting about the bike and had to get back in for it :D If only I had the camera aimed on him it would’ve been a lifelong priceless moment to show his kids how to impersonate a hippo :p

Picked myself up a cheap set of PHDS clamps off ebay this morning so I’m stoked :D

There was another set on there that I was going to post up about but someone bought it now at $300.

I’ll try and do a write up but I’m not too experienced with ergos etc so It’ll just be what I can feel and put into words ;)

Here is the post regarding the tech help forum

Please limit the amount of dribble and crap slinging in the tech help thread, if some one has posted here its because they need help or can help. Any posts that we the Admin team think are non constructive, aren’t helpful or aren’t asking a question will be moderated, there are plenty of other places to carry on the OBT way. Other than that same same as per the normal OBT

    Admin Team

So please guys take it to another thread and lets help Austblue
