AnonymousMaybe
It’s also worth noting that Grabbo/Wonka’s KTM failed due to an aftermarket stator, not an excuse but at least it wasn’t a factory part failure.
So if I want to race any type of enduro anywhere in the world I’ll buy a KTM and if I want to race a 1000Km desert the next time I’m in Mexico/South America/Africa I’ll make sure to buy a Honda
December 11, 2009 at 12:19 am #164873ERzberg is in Austria and where are KTM’s made? Kinda stands to reason that there would be a strong contingent of KTM’s.

AnonymousJapan is a lot closer to Australia than Austria is yet KTM sell more bikes. You’re clutching at straws mate, you can’t argue with the results although I commend you for trying
There will be others with the ‘yeah but’ this and that but and the end of the day, they win more races than Honda does
Suck it up.

What???? Are you saying that KTM sell more bikes in Australia than all of the Japanese manufacturers??
December 11, 2009 at 12:33 am #164878
AnonymousNo, but they sell more enduro bikes than Honda do. My point was obviously not simple enough, KTM WINS MORE ENDURO BASED RACES THAN HONDA!!!!
December 11, 2009 at 12:40 am #164881You dont have to yell mate!! If you typed what you where really trying to say in the previous post, there would be no confusion. Just for a minute I thought you had lost the plot. Sell more bikes Pffffffff.
Sell more enduro bikes….maybe.
December 11, 2009 at 12:42 am #164882I dunno what I am doing even defending Honda…mainly just to argue with you I spose. The only reason I ride a Honda is that they are the only ones that made XR’s.

AnonymousThis is a totally uneducated guess and I have nothing really to back my statement up but:
Maybe more KTM’s are winning cause there is more of them around to what there used to be, back in the day when Jap bikes where mainstream and Euro’s where exotic
Why Euro’s are becomming more mainstream now I dont know, good marketing, people wanting to stand out in the crowd (although not really the case now given this thread) or “god forbid” are the Europeans just building good and possibly better bikes these days?

What have I been saying for years, and Moto you ride one, are you surprised by the world catching on to the easier bike ride and to get results on
I find the silence of some all I need to laugh more
Ha Ha ha ha ha ha Ha Ha ha ha ha ha Ha Ha ha ha ha ha
come on Moto we all know the hondas are the only bike to ride….. if you want to go real slow for a long time, the Honda boys will die out just like the dinosaurs did and wont it be fun going through the fossils that are left….no hang on there fossils now, just with silly riders in denial….
Ha Ha ha ha ha ha Ha Ha ha ha ha ha Ha Ha ha ha ha ha Ha Ha ha ha ha ha
that should get a bite

AnonymousProbably a bit of everything Dan I reckon. Yamaha do well in almost all the above mentioned events.
I was genuinely intrigued that there was a lack of presence by Honda in the top level of some of these races, it just helps that it will gee up the Honda boys
Next time they race about how great they are they may wish to consider why they seem to be getting beaten by most manufacturers out there in some enduro race or other.
They still do very well at SX and MX but how many here ride either of those disciplines?

Yep you were right wingman of TB (about the uneducated bit
)
but I need to ask something of the Honda God lover, if they were selling more KTM’s then you would have to say they are popular for some reason , and also the thing I find real amusing is the sales figures indicate that the Honda’s are up there with the most sold so what’s the go there…why are they one of the biggest seller’s yet the worst performers….maybe they SUCK as a competitive bike now because the rest have gone forwards not stagnated on the 80’s glory days…..
also with the same line of deduction, the Kato still sells not as many of the machines as the others but beats them all with results …… less competitors and better results, no wonder people are leaving the others and going orangehang on a minute, I know all the winners are X honda riders, so when they have ridden such a woeful bike for so many years its no wonder they win when they get on a bike that does stop and turn
December 11, 2009 at 1:26 am #164890Dinosaurs?? The XR’s will still be going strong when all those flash Katos are dead and buried I would dare to say.
XR’s are a fine example of over engineering. Good luck with your recommended 70hr rebuilds.December 11, 2009 at 1:28 am #164893Come on TB you have had two mins, where are you, probably riding to the computer, that means he wont be here for a while, he is on a Honda afterall
I crack myself up sometimes….no all the timeDecember 11, 2009 at 1:30 am #164895micknmeld wrote:

I am on fire here
