I think I posted something similar once before but,

I had an m12 on my drz that I initially hated but as the knobs wore down it got better and better to the point where I didn’t want to change it

Yes I’v had a year out of one before and I ride quite regular, as you say Jeffro the knobs seem to wear down but the grip does’nt get worse  great value for money tyre ;)

I have always reckoned Michelins work the same from new to almost bald ;)

Definetly a Michelin M12 XC front 90/90 and a S12 XC Rear 140/80, this is on a KTM 450 EXC but smaller capacity may want to run a 120 rear. Even the wear out of the rear S12 is very good. Its had 5 hard rides at Sunny Corner which is rock city and hard pack and its held up well.

I like Pirelli XC mid softs, heaps good grip but the side knobs break off easy in rocky terrain. Dunlop MX51, nearly as much grip and sides knobs hang in a bit better in the rocks.

Moto, what are the tyres you have that are no good for your mousses? I’ll take them off your hands for nothing ;)

Can’t believe you have’nt tried the M12XC mate, i’v been harping on about them to you every time we talk about tyres
They are awesome 90×90 for me ;)

Well, this is true. But, in my defense, when you wwere saying that I was running the MS3 whcih I thought to be better anyway :D I think the MH3 would be the go for the condition I normally ride in.

TB – Yes, I’m in a hotel :pinch:

LC – I have a Pirelli Mid Soft and Dunlop MX51. I have just given the Pirelli away and I’ll use the Dunlop when I next get a new mousse. It goes good for a few hundred Km’s then the mousse gets too soft (as its an 80/100) and handling goes to shite.

Thanks for the input all, it seems the Michy’s are still popular, I’ll try and MH3 out if i can get hold of one locally in time (excluding Woody’s, you can choke on the girth of my woody before I buy a tyre from you).
