This may interest those DIY tech heads who like to get there hands dirty. Looks like a good deal.

I have one like it Scotty that came with wheels weights. I balanced the Tenere and XR wheels and found it makes a huge difference ;) Good bit of kit to have IMO

    TB,

Do you reckon it makes a difference on and off road or just on road. Have been thinking about it for a while but figured off road probably not worth it as you get a rim dent or loose a few knobs or change your tyre then it all has to be done again.

I could see how it makes a difference on road as even my 300 is very annoying on the tar. The front tyre is visibly out of balance (and probably the rear too but don’t seem to feel it as much).

Be interested in your findings for off road use though on the XR.

Even if you only use it for spoke replacement and truing that is a steal.
    I am on it!

Better still go in with some fellow riders as you only need it occasionally. Nick?

I’ll go halves with you on this Scott, as long as you supply the homebrew when we use it!!

Yeah I reckon you notice it on the transport sections, and face everybody transports on any given ride. I see more and more with weights on now days

What you said is right Scotty, but spokes can easily be replaced and wheels trued up in the swingarm or forks, I only bought a jig when I started building wheels. That said it’s cheapmenough to have as a talking piece in the shed when you are drinking home brew

Yeah Torpedo 7 are pretty good. I have been using them for a few years for MTB stuff. They have only been doing MX gear for about 6 months. They put up new weekly specials every Monday.

I too can vouch for their great service. The prices are low but the quality is good. I recently bought wire pliers and some Tbars and they are excellent.
