Im not old enough to remember when Anthony Gunter was Mr Motocross in 1976-77 (I wasnt even born), but he owns a KTM, Berg and Jet Ski shop in Wollongong, Dirt Bike Factory. Apparently he still rides like a demon.
It used to be a good shop a few years ago when there was just him and one other bloke but as they have gotten bigger he seems to have become a bit of a prick so I dont go there anymore

Always seemed to be an arrogant bloke when he was at some of the meetings i was at as a kid, so your comment doesn’t surprise me at all.
Eddie Warren is a name I hadn’t thought of for years, why did he drop out of the scene so quickly, seemed to have the world at his feet last time i read anything about him?

I remember Broc Glover came out here on a (I THINK) KTM ride mid-eighties?, but by the time he was on them he was past his best, I got a freebie pass with some of the honda sponsered Blokes i rode with, was awesome as a young bloke to see how professional and cool the Yanks were and how blindingly fast over some of the sections of the tracks.
August 5, 2010 at 1:12 am #185350So did anyone here ever go and see any of the europeans race when they came here?
If so who were there tells us.
August 5, 2010 at 1:53 am #185285I’ll throw a couple in here, not Aussies but they spent a fair bit of time out here in the mid eighties.
Anyone remember Jo Jo Keller ,Stephen Gall and him came together in a repercharge at the Supercross masters in about 1987???. The following year Gally had “LOOK OUT JO JO” on the back of his nylons, the crowd loved it…
Also Flash Gordy Ward almost single handly started the FMX scene here in Australia with his then renowned huge heel clickers.
