    This is a pretty basic question but I’m wondering where I should go to buy some rubber hose like this

    Any particular shop in Newcastle would be especially helpful.

    AB what size id is it, does it have to have the 90 degree bend in it at the end?

    Most auto shops carry stuff like that, if it’s just a straight bit you need should be no problem

    I have one with the 90 but I need a longer straight section plus I need a cap that is similar and able to be secured by way of a cable tie or lock wire. I’m at work so can’t measure it but from a quick look on the web I think it’s 3/8″ i.d.

    O.D doesn’t matter.

    I got some from Repco AB, like TB said though, the I.D. is the important bit, most of the auto stuff is thicker wall & the ID too large for bikes,,,

    :blush: got home and the missus wanted me to sit down with her and talk about what she did for the weekend since I didn’t get home till late sunday. I reckon if I walked into the garage she might’ve set fire to it so I stayed well away sorry mate.

    Mate she was off looking at houses all weekend so if I ignore her I’m likely to end up coming home to removalists asking me how I’d like my bike transported to our new house she’d just bought! I have no misconceptions I tell ya ;)

    10mm i.d (I used a measuring tape and got 10.5mm but I reckon 3/8″ would be fine
    16mm o.d (this shouldn’t matter)
    and 700mm length.

    If that’s too much length to put in a post bag let me know mate. Cheers for the effort, chuck in a couple of stickers and I’ll add them as my first sponsor :D
