I personally wouldn’t put risers or tall bars on a motard for obvious cornering reasons.

I like my cornering more than standing straight so I have the lowest flatest bars I could find and no risers and it leaves me in the “attack” postion sitting or standing.

And I’m not short, nor tall just around the 178cm average.

Ive got 20mm risers with the pastrana fmx high bend on my ktm it feels about right, although the bars are narrow and it takes a little getting used to. I’m 185cm, 6 foot 1

    i too am around 6″1′
For a quick reference check out the Vic. High country Snow Ride

look at the difference between Lc’s bike and mine, you can see how much of a difference his set up makes, i thought LC only had bar raisers.

comparing our bikes i saw LC had raisers, and renewed my thoughts of getting a set, after seeing the diff in the pic i looked into raisers only, but now i’ll at bar and bend too.

LC how much of a difference did your set up make to the overall feel of your bike? hills mainly.

on the snow ride i really noticed how hard i had to work when standing up on the first steep gnarly hill we did Friday.

my set up has never been an issue on the flat. but thought i’d feel more comfortable in the hills with a similar set up to your’s.

I like the risers for all types of riding, they encourage me to stand most of the time (some times too much) i also have my bars rolled a long way forward in the clamps but thats just the way i like it. i think everyone has a different style and way of riding. plus my bike and yours drew are not true enduro bikes and the standard handle bar position is way lower than say a KTM 450.
