    The xr 500 is in need of a chain for the upcoming ride for Down Syndrome. Any suggestion on which one to use?

    Shorten the dogs chain and use that. :laugh: :laugh:

    RK X-ring will do the job i reckon. :)
    What do you run on the Kato ?

    I would go for a good old fashioned o-ring. Are x-ring the same as a crf450x uses?

    Hey Boony,

    If the bikes only going to do some average trailriding you could probably go a heavy duty O-Ring like an RK 520SO. But if you are doing extended miles and getting a lot of heat in the chain I’d go an XW-Ring chain like a 520EXW.

    O ring chain for the casual ride, Boony
    X ring for more muddy rides
    Don’t know about the difference in cost??

    let me know what lenght yours is on the xr and i mite have 1 you can have for just the postage, iv got a cpl diff lengths in the shed unused
