I just wanted to let everyone know that after a lot of searching on the net I am delighted with my purchase of bash plate and rear disk “shark fin” from OBT sponsor Whipp’s.

Dan from Whipp’s was very responsive to my questions regarding the product, they were very easy and friendly to deal with, paid over the phone and the goods arrived at my office before midday the next day – just in time for me to take up to OWL Lodge for the long weekend and fit them. And also received a nice discount off the RRP as a member of OBT forum.

The bash plate is just perfect as it uses the front 2 mounting points from the stock crash bar and to mount the rear involves using a plate with screw holes which they supply. The whole process to install the bash plate and shark fin took me only about 10 minutes as everything fitted absolutely perfectly and the items were supplied with brand new allen bolts.

These items are solid as, and now that the bash plate is fitted I am aware of just how much crap is flung up off the front wheel and track while trail riding as I can hear things hitting it constantly.

I would recommend that anyone looking to add some serious protection to their chookie seriously consider Whipp’s products as they are extremely well engineered and manufactured.

Here are some pics of OWL01 sporting its new Whipp’s bling.

Well I tried to post my pics but it just dont work – so hopefully Krusty can assist.

That’s great to hear, I have been dealing with Dan at Whipps also about them building custom bash plate for my Tenere and have found him super keen and accommodating

Well I have to say, nice XR and I’m a dick head for selling it to you. At least I know you will look after my old treasure.

    The new bling looks good.

    Cheers 02
