Curiosity is killing the Kat :pinch:

Well if it helps him come out…. I did something stupid the other month on the Sydney Harbour Bridge on my new XR400. The bike slowly cut out and came to a graceful stop in the middle lane heading north in peak hour. It looked like it had plenty of fuel so I was perplexed why it stopped. So last result was to put it on to RES but I didn’t know how it work on the new 21 litre tank. I got to learn that the hard way and with a chores of horns that was music to my ears.. I had to jump off my bike and trying to read which was RES and OFF. Believe it or not they are different on both sides. Started it up and finally got going…. my heart was beating million miles an hour…. I look back and laugh now……… but I put it down to being blonde…… I now have a marked where the fuel comes up when it needs the RES switch on..

OK who ever you are… you are NOT alone…….

Yeah Kat I have ran out of fuel and waited for the support vehicle to turn up only to find the taps turned the wrong way. I ran out of fuel a couple years ago with Salina on the back of the NX in the blue mountains. Worse was she had been banging on all day about not having a fuel gauge, me saying don’t worry let it go I have been riding bikes for years without a fuel gauge  Then two hours later I ran out of fuel  Even posted it in my ride report Mick so stop your crying :P

I once drove to a blokes place with factoryphil as his CRF wouldn’t start he had melted the leads off the battery cranking and using jumper leads, the fuel was off

Ask Crash about the holeshot he got at years ago only to stop at the 2nd corner cause the fuel was off  He has never forgiven me as he reckons it was my fault, we were team mates on the one bike why would I turn the fuel off

I don’t understand how the crap got into the right jets to stop the engine dead rather than run rough. Then all of it comes out to start and run without a problem? never seen it before eh?

Just make sure it’s fixed before Sofala birthday ride mate. I hate problems with no answer

And stop being so sensitive :P hell you published my blunder in the local paper and Gittoes in the boof head of the week
