I called in to a certain Old Bulls earlier (not the toast guy) as he told me the other day his front disc on his bike was broken and he was in a panic getting it to the bike shop to get one for the weekend

He was flat spinning telling me how it was cracked etc, so when I visited him recently I noticed he had his old disc still on and a new front tyre. I asked whats the go with your disc, he looked very shy and mumbled something, I said so whats the story, he said its ok

Turns out its a floating disc like the picture

    floatingdisc__Small_.jpg

When he got to the bike shop they all started laughing and rolling around the floor, the cracks he was looking at was between the rotor carrier and the brake rotor around the float buttons, now the bike shop rings him daily and say ” your disc is in” and then hang up laughing

Poor bugger, he said I could mention it here but I know I have to be on my toes as he and the toast boy will be waiting for me to slip up :P

Yamaha dirt bikes have floating discs standard.. obviously it was the original disc as with that amount of mechanical nouse it wouldn’t be modded, so maybe a yamaha owner (bloody ‘ell they’ll let anyone play the tuning forks these days)

Ha ha this is a classic, almost, and I say almost a contender for the OBT Darwin award. Chop still gets it in my opinion though with the WD40 on the brake disc
