    hi my name is willo i live in narromine western nsw. i was introduced to old bulls by bollocks, thanks mate. i have not done any serious riding since the mid 90’s. i lived on a cattle station mustering cattle by motorbike & curretnly run a livestock transport business covering mainly far western nsw. i have an old banger xt600 yamaha but don’t have any riding gear other than a helmet & boots what else do i need to partcipate in an old bull ride?. i am keen to get into doing some rides in my spare time. cheers willo.

    welcome willo.

    well some pants an a shirt would be a good start ;) as riding in nothing but a helmet and boots may be all well and good out in the sticks.

    but in public areas, could attract some unwanted attention.

    and a good sense of humour Is a Must :silly:

    Hi Willo, welcome. There are at least 2 Dubbo riders on here.
    Great to see some interest in the sport. Most of us take it easy and enjoy a ride together now and then. Minimum of a newish helmet, goggles, gloves and dirtbike boots. Anything else you injure that’s unprotected will not be life changing. Knees can be rebuilt fairly easily nowadays. Ribs hurt but won’t kill you. Elbows should just lose skin mostly. Anyway, get into some local rides and see how you go before handing the kids college fund over to Readfords for shiny gear.

    willo welcome to the site think the main thing needed for old bull rides is a license and rego think you will go alright if your used to chasing cows.may catch you around the tracks am from dubbo

    When that district out west turns to desert again we should go for a hoon out west and nth into QLD.No one knows the backroads out there like a trucky :cheer:
    Plenty of knowledge on here mate…they might even know a thing or two about old XT’S !!!
