It’s biggest issue for me was I came right off a predictable reasonably grippy 736R to a 952R and was chalk and cheese, I’ll be blunt the MX-retread with a 736 carcass I’m running ATM is far more predictable, even if it does throw random knobs into the undergrowth, at least when i bought I went in with my eyes wide open expecting little.
I loved dunlops in the 7 series, but the 952 I gave away and will never ever recommend for a hard hitting 2T, and has even made me wary of Dunlop altogether.

LOL, ya not the first to bag the 952, and certainly wont be the last….
But its served me so well, and for so long.
Like i said, i have a pair of 756’s in the shed, but a mate has been running the new Geomax’s(756 replacement) and the rear is losing knobs fast, and we ride mostly in sand(Paddys, Anglesea), his tyre is no more than 10 rides old, and its making my old 952 look good on wet slippery hills. Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

Hey VTB (menace) I am now contracted to do Bill’s tyres now under an exclusive deal in the terms of my contract agreement that has just returned from the lawyers with the ink still wet its states “TB will not do Menace’s tyres only Bill’s and if Bill allows Adio’s, XY’s and Jak’s etc” it goes on the say “That each person having a tyre fitted will with the exception of Bill provide one can or stubby of Bundaberg rum per tiye, although a long neck can be substituted for 2 tyres on the one bike
Further more it goes on to say under conditions in paragraph 3, sub section 2, it states that “No cheap shit traction less retreads will be fitted by TB”TB

Bill.April 16, 2010 at 1:40 am #176206heres a bombshell for ya…
i will be resigning from my highly respected ( ) VTB duties and moderating superpowers on the weekend of the kenda as it will (hopefully) be my last ride in victoria for many moons.
i will be hosting an election, sanctioned by your good self, for my replacement during saturday lunch at the pub. all those attending will be encouraged to vote.
therefore, by the time we get into the accomm i will no longer be VTB, hence forth whoever is the new VTB elect will have to change their own tyre.
i would have no problem buying you 3 cans to change 1 tyre, it would be cheap insurance…and an even cheaper laugh
dont sell yourself short my friend, you are worth a little more than 375mL of sugar, boot polish and water.i will however, cook you a nice big feed of steamed vege’s saturday night, out of the kindness of my heart…
and it shall then forever be known as “lord Kato’s last supper”
besides, my tyres are ok
April 16, 2010 at 1:46 am #176217and you had better bring your own longnecks, i dont think they have em down here….
well not that ive ever noticed anyway.
that being said, ive never noticed dog shit on the lawn before stepping in it either…
the moral of the story is…
dog shit, like rum, are seldom noticed by anyone with an inch of calibre, also both smell the same and leave a sticky mess between your toes
